Why Apple Logo Is Half Bitten?

Why Apple Logo Is Half Bitten?

Today we want to take you closer to the development of one of the world's most famous logos: the Apple logo.

Steve Jobs, who grew up as a social orphan in Mountain View, California, was a big fan of the electronics industry while still at school. After he dropped out of college in Portland, he worked for several years at the computer company Atari. In 1976, Jobs finally founded Apple Computer Coporation with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Since Jobs was temporarily a Frutarian in the 1970s, i.e. based on fruit, the apple in the company name was also derived from its own statements.

But there are other theories for the fruity company name:

Steve Jobs is said to have been on vacation shortly before the name was given, and to have been inspired by an apple harvest at the resort.

Or else, the idea for the name came from one of his favorite bands, the Beatles, which was under contract with Apple Records.

There is also a rumor that Jobs and his company absolutely wanted to be in the phone book before Atari and therefore decided on the name Apple.

Isaac Newton as an inspirer:

The first Apple logo in 1976 showed Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree. This should be a nod to its discovery of gravity. The reference to the apple was of course ideal for the company. Strange detail on the side: The logo was developed by Ronald Wayne, friend of Jobs and a founding member of Apple Computer. At that time he had shares of 10%, but returned them within 2 weeks. His stake would have been worth more than $ 30 billion at the time of Job's death.

And then someone bit the apple:

For practical reasons, the logo had to be changed soon. After all, the design was too complex to print on brochure. The complexity of the logo was reduced back in 1977 with the introduction of the Apple II computer. Rob Janov designed the silhouette of an apple for this. The background should be the ironic connection between a natural apple and an artificial computer. The logo became special because of the bite on the right side. The company uses a play on words. "Bite" in English means "to bite" and sounds identical to the word "byte", a unit of measurement in computer science.

An alternative theory about the bite of the apple:

So the bitten apple also plays a role in religion, when Adam and Eve, contrary to God's prohibition, bite from the forbidden tree in an apple. However, since Steve Jobs professed Buddhism, a reference to the Bible is more doubtful.

Austria reference to the Apple logo:

Since the screen of the Apple II computer could also display color, the logo was displayed in the rainbow colors. In the early years, Apple mainly used the "Motter Tektura" font. A typeface created by the Austrian Othmar Motter in 1975. Over the decades, the company has also used the "Apple Garamond" fonts - especially for the long-term slogan "Think different" - "Mybriad" and "Helvetica" in marketing. Over the years Apple has always taken care to use a suitable font.

The change together with the products:

Since the introduction of the blue and white Macintosh G3 in 1999, the logo has no longer been displayed in rainbow colors but in one color. At the turn of the millennium there was still experimentation and the logo was presented in a wide variety of colors. The company has also presented itself for a long time with a very modern logo with a surface structure.

And Nowadays the logo is mostly shown in white, black or silver. The logo on the products in particular is mainly colorless and only stands out from the product due to the surface structure.

An unforgettable trademark:

Steve Jobs died of long-term cancer on October 5, 2011. Wherever the truth about the creation of the Apple logo lies, one thing is clear: Jobs has created an example of a perfect logo with the Apple logo. The symbol of the bitten apple has become a true trademark over the decades. The changes that the logo went through went with the development of the company and its products and were kept within a pleasant framework. Consumers could get used to the symbol and for them it doesn't matter how the logo was created.

Coronavirus Begins To Disturb Chinese Technological Production

Coronavirus Begins To Disturb Chinese Technological Production The coronavirus outbreak in China is beginning to affect the global technology industry, with noticeable declines in shipments of devices such as graphics cards and mobile phones. Asus, Foxconn and Gigabyte  have said that first-quarter shipments of motherboards and graphics cards have fallen more than expected, British media outlet Computing has reported . This decline is explained by the fact that Chinese people avoid public places and shops, while courier delivery and other services have been affected. Meanwhile, the smartphone market is expected to be affected in two ways: first, with excess inventory in China caused by the sudden and unexpected decline in sales, and second, the halt of new models due to the pause. in supply chains, caused by factory closings, ordered by the Chinese government when the epidemic began. Huawei, in particular, is likely to be hit hard as it fell back on its home market due t...

Big Data

Data collection and interpretation are very important to the seed breeding program. Without data and its interpretation, progress is impossible. Technology will create the ability to collect new data, and the effective innovation of a successful company will result. In addition, as technology evolves, the cost of technology decreases. For example, the cost per gigabyte of storage in 1980 was $ 500,000. Today the price is less than $ 0.03. This is a huge expense for the amount of data collected. In pig breeds, there is a wave of data collection. Basic data collection includes weight, number of births, birth year, age group, wean to service time, door count, and more. These features do not require sophisticated technology. Ultrasonic balance, depth, and intramuscular oil are being collected because of advances in ultrasound technology. Improvements in body and food quality have emerged over the years, including tools to improve pH, maripling, color, and digestion. All of these factors ar...

Internet simply explained

Internet simply explained  The Internet is a worldwide network of several million computers. The computers that essentially provide services to other systems are referred to as servers. The servers are connected via Internet service providers (ISP), who manage (host) the information as Internet pages (websites, blogs, shops, email accounts etc.) and make them available to visitors (users). You can use the Internet to query information from all of these computers, send electronic messages to recipients around the world, shop around the clock, book trips, and much more. Internet history The Internet (from the English internetwork, composed of the prefix inter and network 'network' or 'net' for short) is a worldwide network of computers. It combines Internet services such as WWW, email, Telnet, Usenet and FTP. Any computer can connect to any other computer, provided you know its address. Colloquially, the Internet is also used instead of the Internet. The data exch...
